Our History

Lauren Ellis has always wanted to use her art to glorify God. When she was 15 years old, she experimented with the idea of making Christian t-shirts. After completing high school, she studied graphic art and design. In the beginning of 2009, Lauren combined her art and love for God and began producing designs that were both fun and exciting.

In early spring, she began doing test designs. With very positive feedback, she went forward in business plans and started Zoe Threads™.

Our Mission

Our goal is to edify the body of Christ, spread God's Word, encourage Christian youths to think on God throughout the day, and most of all, to give glory to God. We strive to come up with encouraging, positive, uplifting designs that illustrate simple Biblical principles.

WHat is ZOe?

"...I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."
                                      - Jesus Christ, Luke 10:10b

Zōē, or ζωή, is greek for life in all its manifestations. It is used 135 times in the New Testament, nearly always referring to the life we have in Christ Jesus. Our one only source of life is from God. He originates and sustains life in all by giving it out of Himself.

Our History

Earthen Vessels™ started with two guys who had a desire to communicate their faith through clothing. Opportunities began to open up and they decided to join the effort in designing Christian apparel. Earthen Vessels™ was founded in early 2010 and looks forward to seeing what the future holds.

Our Mission

Earthen Vessels™ seeks to create clothing inspired by the Bible and Christian belief. Our passion is to encourage current believers and share the Good News with those who have yet to hear it. Through our designs, we hope to remind the public that the power of the Holy Spirit within Christian believers brings hope and makes all things possible.

WHat ARE EARTHEN VESSELS?

An earthen vessel was a common clay cookware item found in 1st–century kitchens. Clay pots were considered of very little value. They broke easily and were inexpensive to replace. While metal and glassware were of great value, a clay pot was not something you would want to present to your guests. 

Paul compares himself to an earthen vessel in 2 Corinthians 4:7. His point was that he held very little value compared to the power of God working through him. What is important is the ministry he has been given and the message he bears to the world. Paul doesn’t want to be put on display, as if he or any other servant of God were what is important. Today too the Spirit within us and the Gospel we share deserve priority.

So why a paper bag?

The brown paper bag is our modern day translation of an earthen vessel. It is cheap, replaceable, and just not that special.
